Photographer's Note

My previous post (First Declaration of Human Rights) was about Iran's heritage on display in Balboa Park, San Diego, California. Today's post shows the environmentalist parade last year during Earth Day 2006 celebrations also in Balboa Park. People of the Bahaí'í Faith did also the parade, displaying t-shirts with the words One Planet One People... Please and the same in Castilian (Spanish), Un Planeta Una Humanidad... Por Favor.
Those are nice words, as usually religious principles are. The relation with my previous post is that Bahaí'í Faith originated also in Iran. It was founded by Bahá'u'lláh in 19th century. The core principles of this faith are: unity of God, unity of religion, unity of mankind, gender equality, elimination of all forms of prejudice, world peace, harmony of religion and science, independent investigation of truth, universal compulsory education, universal auxiliary language, obedience to government and non-involvement in partisan politics, and elimination of extremes of wealth and poverty. The Bahá'í International Community has consultative status with the following organizations: United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
Other views in workshops: closer view and closest view.
(I have no relation with the Bahaí'í Faith, nor with any other religion.)
