Photographer's Note

Being a Pisces, I am addicted to water adventures. I belonged to a sailing club in San Francisco Bay and the moored sailboat in this image was in the class we sailed. Unfortunately I dropped out, partly because it was a 2 to 3 hour drive to the Bay from where I live.

The paddle boat on the right, also called 'stern wheelers' was popular in America's earlier history for transport on large rivers, like the Mississippi. Today the Scarlette Belle is a tourist friendly boat, providing weekend tours within Channel Island Harbor, and also available for charter for special occasions, weddings, parties, etc.

The boat on the left with yellow kayaks stacked, is the Sunfish taking kayakers on weekends to Anacapa, Channel Islands. Their website:
