Photographer's Note
Hangar 9 is located on the historic North Field of Oakland Airport (general aviation area today) -- the site of the original 1920s airport. This hangar is not part of the original airport (only hangars 1 - 5 were part of the original), but this strikes me as being of 1930s (maybe early '40s) vintage and the wings on the hangar suggest a military past. I couldn't find any information on it; would anyone be able to help me with its history? It is a wonderful-looking building.
