Photographer's Note

The town of Mammoth Lakes 66 square kilometers in size is a fine base-camp to explore nature. Located in the Eastern Sierra Nevada, north of Bishop and easily accessible a few miles west of Highway 395. In winter, Mammoth Lakes is a very popular ski destination with lots of snow. In summer, fishing, sauntering and enjoying outdoors is very popular. From Mammoth, a rural highway crosses Minaret Summit and descends to the Devils Postpile National Monument with trails to the Ansel Adams Wilderness.

In this view is Lake Mary one of the half dozen or so lakes in Mammoth, and the largest one.
