Photographer's Note

This pilot is cleaning the windows of this KingAir 90 as part of his pre-flight preparations. As you can see by the bugs splattered on the nose and leading edge, the windshields can become pretty obscured in the spring when the bug populations are high.

This plane is owned by a company that works for the California government's agricultural division. They are involved in a program to irradicate Mediterranean Fruit Flies from the Los Angeles area by releasing sterile flies in numbers that completely overwhelm the fertile native flies.

Unfortunately for this photo, my aperture was set too large to get a good focus on the entire plane. Increased the brightness a bit, cropped for balance, and resized.
