I don't like sports but had to take a sports event for a photojournalism class. I tried the local rodeo here in Lincoln, California. Now I am a rodeo addict!!

You caught a great action moment there. Maybe a lower ISO setting and f2.8 could have isolated the subject more from the background. In any case I would crop a bit on the left and right edges to get rid of a few distractions (see workshop). Marc
