Photographer's Note

I first saw June Lake at the age of 12 on our family camping trip. I also caught my first trout. My Father and I took turns rowing a small wooden boat while trolling.

I can remember that golden visit like it was yesterday. And have returned to the Eastern Sierra many times. It is surprising, California has such a wealth of natural beauty outside its sprawling, crowded cities and suburbs. Much of the Eastern Sierra has not been commercialized other than a few towns scattered along the Hwy 395 corridor.
