Photographer's Note
Looking down from the crest of a sand dune in the Cadiz dune field. In the foreground is the sand that has avalanched down from the crest in a liquid-like motion.
The dunes were covered with tracks of lizards, beetles, rabbits, coyotes, rodents, and others I could not identify. Some tracks are visible here in the lower right.

The effect of the dunes is really special. We do not know too much any more if they are hollow zones or lines of shade. And more we look at, and more we fall into a kind of torpor. The quality of the photograph lies in its exposure and its perfect contrast! Well done.

Hi David,
Nice shot. The light comes from a good angle to show the waves of the sand, and the light is also very soft and warm. It's interesting how this image fools the eye, it's impossible to tell 8as far as I can see) if you are looking downwards or if you are looking horizontally and the bushes are growing at the bottom of a hill/dune.

btw, I have a photo from Tunisia of beetle tracks in a sand dune, you can check it out here: 'Footprints'.

Bonsoir David,
je trouve ta réalisation très originale, les plis creusés par le vent dans le sable, les touffes d'herbes qui se battent pour y survivre.
Tu as choisi le bon endroit pour prendre cette photo.
Best regards from Belgium.
Daniel.

The drawings of the sand seem to me incredible, and you have obtained an excellent combination with the shades and the drawings.
Well done.

Hi David, Another wonderful sand dune pattern. This one is especially attractive because you have used the sunlight to make the special effect. Very creative and original shot.
