Photographer's Note

This shot was taken at Bodie mine town high up in the Sierra Nevadas in California.

It was taken in bright sunlight, since then I've cropped it, cross processed and tone mapped it.

I was looking to create a different effect, but still show off the car.

i like the dramatic atmosphere you created by post processing, may be a little too dark , but very expressive
strange place ,is there lot of people visiting the place or is it really forgotten ?

You did do a great job of creating a different effect and one that stays loyal to the Bodie "ruins". Great technique and angle. Nice!

And I think you showed the car off very well Gary!
I like the overall dark mood here, looks a little like the light during an eclipse.

Hi Gary,
I really like this deep colour tone, rust of the abandoned antique car, and deep blue sky. A left shadow is also effective.

Well done. The shine of the vertical grille slats draws one immediately to the car, and the sun spots behind the grille make it clear there is no engine here.

Belle photo de cette voiture qui fait maintenant partie de cette nature que vous avez prise sous un très bon POV, ces maisons plus loin sont très jolies et donnent tout eur effet et une bonne profondeur de champ. Jolies couleurs douces et lumière bien dosée pour donner toute son importance a cette magnifique voiture.
