Photographer's Note
POSSIBLY California's Oldest Bar in the Ghost Town of Bodie. Taken through a hole in the door. Another shot from the TE summit meeting this past weekend.

Hello Steve -
This is really nice and clear. I did not think there was enough light in the room to capture an image through the dirty glass. A hole in the door? I don't recall one but then I have a habit of not looking close enough and exploiting opportunities. Well done!
It was nice meeting you this past weekend and hope to see more images in the future.
Thank you for sharing.

Hi Steve
condidering you had to take this through a hole in the door you have got a superb shot, well composed, and you could just imagine the things that went on all them years ago

Steve you find the right POV to get this shot. I didn't even adventure to take shots through any hole or windows in Bodie. The conditions were so discouraging, but you suceeded with a perfect composition and ideal light conditions. At least looking at the shot it gives that impression of ideal light condition because I remember that it looked terrible there. Another reason why I didn't attempt it myself. There is so much going on in this shot that I have the impression that the bartender and the guests will be walking in at any given moment.

Hello Steve! Good eye on your part, I totally missed opps like these. This is fabulous, the dust on the seats is just perfect. The angle of the bar in the scene works really well.
Regards,
Doug

Hi Steve,
When I opened the photo, I thought, "I didn't realize there were exhibits like this." Like Peter, I have the sens that you were just stepping in the door. I think it's the long shadows that give the photo such a sense of reality. I've started a theme for the meeting so it will be easier for us to compare our different artistic vision. I'll try to keep it in sequential order. HLJ, Pat

A big smile here...i have the same image taken through that very small hole in the door ;-)
I have posted it in a WS im my main upload from the building. Yours is a bit darker, i let it more the way it was, but also this one i like a lot.
