Photographer's Note

This is the condition of the human mind - a big mitote, and until we clear the fog from our minds, we cannot see things as they really are.

Summer mornings are usually foggy and cool, but by afternoon the fog lifts and the air warms. It's a good idea to bring both warm and cold weather clothing when packing.

Big Sur is located along Scenic Highway One along the central coast of California (150 miles south of San Francisco and 300 miles north of Los Angeles). It was historically known as "El Sur Grande," which means "The Big South." Henry Miller called Big Sur "The face of the earth as the Creator intended it to look," others have called it "The greatest meeting of land and sea."

The "Sharpen More" Filter was used, in addition to "Auto Colors" and "Contrast +5."
