Photographer's Note
I took this photo at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Californina. Santa Anita opened its doors on December 25, 1934. It opens anually for daily racing on December 26 and the season runs through late April. Portions of the 2003 movie Seabiscuit were filmed at this track.
The jockey in this photo is Casey Fusilier and he is riding Muddy Halo down the home strecth to a decisive victory in the first race of the day.
