Photographer's Note

California is my old dream, and I am going to L.A. tomorrow.

This song of the Mamas and Papas (or Beach Boys, if you want) just a hymn of my journey. I also hope to visit our old friend Benedict Ong, if you remember him.

All the leaves are brown
And the sky is grey

This photo was taken near Phoenix in the last hours of my Arizona trip. Special thanks to Jason for these days.

Excellent title, superb photo.
Superb rock close-up with very nice colors, perfect light, very good clarity. Nice details & textures. The well-chosen tight crop eliminates all unwanted distractions.

Hello Serghei,
This massive cliff looks spectacular in the afternoon light. A lovely range of green and brown tones topped by a perfect blue sky. Superb rendering of the textural detail.

J'aime le format très allongé de cette composition. La cadrage vertical nous donne une très bonne idée de la dénivellation de cet immense rocher.La contre plongée ajoute de l'ampleur.

Have a nice trip! Maybe you try to meet Way ne Lim, he leaves not far from LA. I also dreamt about California and listened to this song :).
Nice shot from Phoenix. I go on Sunday to Georgia but not in USA :).

Hey Serghei,

Hmmm, I've seen this somewhere before...but where? :) Great way to kick off a new adventure, love the title! I'm sure you're going to have a great time, and we'll be neighbors while you're here. :)) Too bad I can't make it next door though, but I look forward to talking once again.

I get to see this landscape daily, but it's always a treat to see it here as well. You composed this for maximum appeal, filling a majority of the frame with the rugged and textured formation, but leaving enough space for some alternating color to enhance the overall visual.

Looks even more imposing in the larger file size. :) Talk to you soon my dear friend. Take care.

Das Lied von den Mamas and Papas, ist kitschig, aber mir gefällt es trotzdem sehr gut!
