Photographer's Note

Continuing in my tradition of shooting what I can from a moving car, this shot comes to you from the Virgin River Gorge in Arizona. My wife and I went to Los Angeles for the weekend with some friends, and drove back yesterday. Everyone wanted to get home pretty quickly, including me, so I contented myself with shooting what I could from the car window. (Those of you who have seen some of my shots of the Canadian Rockies know I tend to do this). This was one of the only ones that turned out at all.

This was my first time through the Gorge, and I was quite impressed. There wasn't any feature in particular that stood out--it was all beautiful. This shot was taken a couple hours before sunset, and the lower sun brought out the red in the rocks.

I rotated this slightly, cropped it a little, and adjusted the contrast and saturation slightly. Hope you enjoy it.
