Photographer's Note
Figuratively speaking of course, in both instances, I only wish this were actually my back yard! About a 3-4 minute drive from where I live, I’m able to see this little slice of scenic landscape.
I’ve been trying to get out and take some pictures before it becomes so uncomfortably hot to be outside for more than a few minutes at a time…which is usually about 105 degrees (41c) during the summer, and it arrives far too early and lasts far too long in the Phoenix valley!?

Too hot in winter of 2013? amazing nature, Jason...
I see a fabulous creek, just wonder why so tight is the croppped photo here, the sight of a wider scope must be more impressive.
Scaling down hights, water looks fantasticly clear.
Lovely pic. collected.

Hi Jason
like this shot! It is an original crop and one that works superbly because it leaves you longing for more, which is what this type of composition should do. The light, shapes and textures are all beautiful, but it is the water and its motion that adds that special piece of magic. Excellent!
Have a great week - regards Brian.

Hello Jason,
A simple photo with these stones gains the impressions. All this shapes and textures creates a wonderful scenery and the waters flows through of them. I really like it.
Have a nice evening,
Regards,

Hi Jason,
Well chosen main subject, it really looks like a bench. Very nice low coming warm light. And flow on that creek, I could watch that for gours. But not when it's +41C. I guess that creek is dry on summertime anyway.

Hi Jason,
This is a very lush and vibrant scene, completely at odds with the image your note invokes about baking heat. I can see why you like to get to enjoy this at every opportunity. TE thoughts of forty one degrees is enough to make me climb into the fridge, the hottest I ever experienced was forty, and at that, I and all the other pasty Irish tourists were heading for anywhere that had air conditioning.
I can still remember in the high end jewellery shop, surrounded by sun burned iRish folk, as we all pretended to be interested in expensive jewels, just to stay near the cold air con.
Makes a very nice bench indeed, but that's some ass groove on the rock. I am guessing homer Simpson must have been here recently.
All the best
Noel

Hi Jason,
4 minutes drive from your home you can practically consider it as your back yard:)But seriously,it´s beauitful piece of nature for the asking for you.Your POV and tight frame make the scene really fabulous.Technically the picture is also superb. It has excellent sharpness, clarity and beauituful, vivid colors.
Magnificent place to escape the city noise.
Have a good day

Hi Jason,
Interesting landscape with stones and water & grass with "fresh" colors. The diagonal composition of the photo is nice. Very well captured.
Friendly regards--

Hello Jason,
I like this kind of picturesque pictures from a
small piece of area. It's also a good exercise
for everyone it increases your possibilities,
even close at your home.
Point of view, the composition and light
management are very good: the picture is nice
rought and calmness at the same time.
Friendly regards,
Robert
Answer about your question about the lake.
I believe that in the summer every minute
there will be past by 20-30 cars.
The name of the lake is: Fuscher Lacke.
When you will visit the Grossglockner,
you go first up, then down and then up.
After the "first top" when you go down
1 or 2 minutes later there is the lake
on your right side.
Go early in the morning, after 9 o'clock
there to many people and cars.

Hi, my friend,
LOL! ;) It looks sooo funny, well, good idea for a bench. I bet it result of the numerous tourist backs. Everyone wants to sit for selfie here. And I can see them, excellent background, no doubt!
Best wishes,
Serghei
