A pair of early morning fishermen sit near an exposed portion of the Granite Dells. I was at Willow Lake in November, after an exceptionally dry summer and fall, so the water level was much lower than usual in this man-made reservoir. After winter snows and rains and again after the summer monsoon rains, the lake will be much higher and the outcrop submerged, turning it into a hiding place for the fish that stocked in the lake by Arizona's Game & Fish Department.
