Photographer's Note

A flotilla of mallard ducks pulls away from the boat launch area at Willow Lake as the sky begins its morning display of colors.

Nominally coverung 400 acres, Willow Lake varies in size over the course of the year depending on the amount of rain and snow in the area as it is a man-made reservior butting up against Prescott's famous Granite Dells on its northeast end. The lake has been designated an important birding site by the Audobon Society. It is also a city park with boating (no gasoline motors), surrounding and encircling multi-use trails, disc-golf, and having picnic ramadas and restrooms. Swimming and wading are not allowed.
