Photographer's Note
Antelope Canyon is home to one of nature's most wondrous creations - the slot canyons. Carved from the red sandstone for milleniums by rain and wind, the canyons are narrow passages that lead several hundred feet away from the mouth. The gorgeous slopping angles of the rocks coupled with the shafts of light that make their way down from the rim of the canyon combine for an amazing scene.

Alford I have to say what a wonderful capture you have posted here. I like the details and lighting. I can see that timing is everything here. Waiting for high noon when the sun shines through for maximum effect. Take a look at the workshop and let me know what you think of the contast masking layer application. Thanks for sharing....do you have anymore from this place?

Wow - amazing spot, and it must have been pretty tricky to meter this correctly. You've retained details in the shadows and avoided blowing out the floor of the canyon - no easy task. Well done!

Hi Alford, This place looks just like the canyon leading to Petra, amazing that two such unusual places could be so similar. You have certainly captured the form and texture of the rock.

A lovely photo Alford,
It is difficult to imagine the scale of this without a person or something but that would have spoilt the photo. I think I need to visit it instead. I looks amazing. Nice photo. Thank you for sharing.
Cheers,
