Here is another image of the Grand Canyon's breathtaking rim, lit warmly just before sunset. This shot was made with a 200mm + 1.4x TC to get the tightest possible cropping and maximum depth compression to stack the cliffs which, in reality, are up to a mile or more apart.

Nice shot Sam. The only thing I'd say is that I like to see the sky as part of shots like this - it just seems to help give the shot balance.

An amazing image. I like the way the bottom of the canyon is lost in the deep blue. Great colours.

You caught the canyon facades at just the right critical moment of sinking sunlight....a perfect rendition of the hues one would see with that ephemeral lighting.

Very nice work, Sam! This is my kind of country! I like having no sky present, but I'm sure you probably have both sky and canyon shots. This might could use some noise reduction, but the haze and gradation of the canyons is wonderful. Your choice of lens really makes the canyon walls look closer together. Nice choice.
