Photographer's Note

This is the view looking up Main Street of Goldfield Ghost Town. Quite a grand boulevard, huh? Now, you may be asking yourself, “Is this a genuine “ghost” town, because I don’t see any signs of life?” Well, to answer that, and Claudes (CLODO) question regarding any missing cowboys…there’s really no mystery here, I simply dragged my sorry self out of bed at the crack of dawn this particular morning to be there at 05:30 to catch the first light of the day. The cowboys, and all others for that matter, were still fast asleep.

It would be more fun though if it did include a few tumbleweeds, bandits or some of the Old West gunslingers, hearing the “cling-clang” of their spurs as they walk the dusty streets, or at least some horses tied up at the saloon…or better yet, Clint Eastwood! :) If you look close enough though, there is at least a mannequin sitting on the porch of the foreground building down near the bottom right. Lifeless for sure, but it’ll still catch you off guard when there’s no one else around!

Thanks for taking a look.
