Photographer's Note

Back to Alaska: This Bald Eagle was fishing the the Kenae River before fishing was allowed in this area. The next day, the 'Sanctuary' opened and this was the view. Where the Russian River and the Kenae River converge, the fish hug the bank on their struggle upstream. This area is called the sanctuary and it remains closed to fishing until adeguate numbers of fish have passed through the fish-counting station on their way to spawn. They don't eat after they enter fresh water so catching them is essentially a matter of snagging the fish in the mouth. On the Kenae and Russion Rivers, ony fish with the hook in their mouth may be kept. Interestingly, Atlantic Salmon continue to eat as they travel up the river and they travel up the middle of the river.

PP:Levels, USM, I also tried to clone out a light area near the wingtips that I think must have been a lens flare, but I don't think I was very successful
