Photographer's Note
Been an awfully long time since I posted a photo on here. I didn't even know the new size limitations... I still remember the day I took this. Those clouds were menacing looking and the light turned the water gold. You could see the rain moving in from way far off and I loved the way the bridge was in silhouette. I'm trying this again. Generally I am not happy enough with my shots to think them worthy of posting here. It's good to see a lot of familiar names when I browse the gallery, though.

Hi Shelly,
Love the beautifula capture with 18mm focal length. The cropped sensor invariably reduces the width, as compared with the width of 35mm, but this is how the manufactureres price thier products and market them. The dense shades of the clouds and the tones of the yellow attract the viewers to the source of light; the Sun.
This all reflects in the waters of the lake which you have captured beautifully with artistic touches.

Rajeev

Hello Shelly - outstanding light management to this, with a brilliant explosion of light through the bridge that is carried through in both the water and the clouds. A nice peaceful image, thanks.

Hi Shelly, Wow, how nice to see you back again here!! Welcome! and with marvelous shot you come. Fantastic golden tones and the setting sun is just in the right place behind this bridge. beautiful reflections in the river. I like the new size. For my screen, 1300 is the best for the horizontal format, then it just fill the whole screen. In vertical format it needs some scrolling. But I still prefer than the old 800.

Hello Shelly,
Thank you for the visit on my photo. Here, the tunnel effect created by the menacing clouds and the distance on the water is very nice to see. The orange tones reflecting on the water are beautiful to see and I like the bridge structure standing like a chineese shadow.
Best regards

Timely shot to capture this dramatic scene, before the sun went down completely.

Hello Shelly,
How nice to see your work again. This is a lovely shot. The rich, golden colour is captivating and the approaching storm has given a manificent sky full of texture and subtle colours. The silhouetted bridge gives an important centre of interest.
Very well done.
Kind Regards, Ann

Hi Shelly
In a word, wow. That sky is incredible, menacing and threatening but at the same time spectacular and beautiful. The gold tones are stunning, and you composed this so well with the sun and bridge as they are and the landscape in silhouette. The area in left foreground looks interesting too, is that some sort of seating area for watching over the river?
Thanks for sharing

Hello Shelly
There is no shadow without light, no chinese puppet play without the art of skies and no piece of art museum without you!
Cheers.
