Photographer's Note
I found this old image of the Cicadas i captured one summer. They are atracted to noise as well as making it themselves. Tennessee was covered in them in 2011. They were emerging after their 17 year life underground. Mating is at hand. They will be dead before the fall leaves turn color. My friend had to use a tennis raquet to swat them away while cutting his grass with a riding lawn mower. if you look on youtube....(Ian eating a live cicada). I was in the room watching this bit a bravery.

Hi Jimmy
Interesting one. They are quite startling cicadas with the black bodies but great red eyes and wings. Good one.
cheers

Bonjour, cher Jimmy,
Une composition peu commune avec une note intéressante et édifiante à la fois.
Le résultat est très bon et les détails sont fort bien rendus.
Amitiés.

Hi Jimmy
why on earth would you friend want to eat a live Cicadas, is he mental? hahaha...Oh my goodness I would not do that.
I have to hand it to you, the subject content here is something we don't see on TE, so i'll give you credit for that, and the story. Couldn't imagine eating something like this, with big red eyes. cheers

Hi dear Jimmy
Wow so eye-catning image at all! Honestly I have not so many chnaces to see Cicadas such closely. Ciacdas in USA are quite similar species as same as Japnese.
Thier red eyes are so appealing to me.
Best regard and have a good day! Takero
PS. Many thanks for your warm words in your critique.

Hi Jimmy.
We have these cicadas in Australia too. They are extremely noisy with an almost ear splitting screech. Aboriginal Australians also ate them on occasion. Good sharpness and repetition. Tfs!
