Photographer's Note

The haunting past of the Smoky Mountain National park. Many cabins and churches still exist in the park. Some of the structures were built in the 1700s. Once the park was initiated, many of the families were allowed to live in the park until the existing owners moved on or passed away. The park took over ownership at that point. Walking through the old structures gives you a sense of life that was once there. Just a tad bit chilling and haunting. If only those walls could talk. This is one of those structures. I will be returning there in a few weeks for more images. can't wait.
