Photographer's Note

A freak storm blew through our small mountain town a few years ago with micro bursts that touched down in just three points in our neighborhood. Trying to understand who was hit and who was spared is always impossible.

This farmhouse, more than 100 years old, was devastated when an enormous and equally old tree was uprooted and fell on it.

And yet delicate flowers bloomed the following morning as if nothing unusual had happened.
