Photographer's Note

Awhile back my sister, my grandson and I spent the day in Eastern Kentucky visiting Daniel Boone National Forest. One of the few days we didn't get rain in ages. We took backroads and my sister (thank God) drove and I took pictures. I love old barns and there were scads of them over there. Beautiful day for sightseeing and visiting one of the many natural bridges they have.

Hello Shelly,I`m afraid that you have left me in the lurch a bit,for whilst I admire your composition,with the barn nicely placed in the frame,I`d love to be able to take a closer look at it,the rusty tin roof and windowless wooden sides are most intriguing...
Lovely understated complementary colours.Love it.

PS. Thank you for your workshop. Now I see what you mean by "flat." I like your version. I usually try to combat "flatness" with the Photo Tools 2.6 add-on to Photoshop, but I don't have that software on my laptop.

Hi Shelly,
A very fine part of this picture is the capture of the clouds, perfectly exposed. The old barn is also very interesting, with all tje colours of decay. A fine picture from a different part of he world.
