Photographer's Note
This is the second installment in my Holga Americana series. This was taken on Hiway 280 on my way to Providence Canyon. Unique little eateries like this are a southern tradition. Their goods are usually homestyle, quite tasty, and definately not on my diet. As I had already consumed more than I should have for my Thanksgiving fiest the previous day, I passed on the delicious smells eminating from this place, but I couldn't miss out on taking a few snapshots of the back wall. Apparently JC and the boys find the cooking good , so check it out some time when you are in Plains, GA.

Good morning, Grav,
Strange mural to have on the back of Mom's "greasy spoon," where I feel rather sure they are serving something quite different than matzos and gefilte fish. But, heck, it's a famous "dinner" pic, Passover or not, and who knows what matters of eternal import just might take place in a roadside diner??
Seriously, this is really a delightful little slice of the uniquely homegrown "americana" I love to see. (I wonder, is there a small town in the U.S. that does NOT have a "Mom's" restarurant?) Thanks so much for posting it. I look forward to the remainder of your series.

Hi Hubert,
I am big fan of the low-fi images of the Holga etc, I recently bought a digital camera witha plastic lens..interesting results. I like the theme too (I have a similar one).
The colours are fantastic, almost impossible to replicate in digital, and the composition, a key to making these cameras artful, is simple and effective here. Cool scene.
Regards
Justin
