Photographer's Note
LITTLE FIVE POINTS is a district on the east side of Atlanta, which has become famous as a kind of alternative hotspot. With independent shops, bars, restaurants and venues, it is a melting pot of subcultures and the Bohemian center of the Southern States.
This great little neighborhood was where we began and ended our grand tour of the South. With its alternative vibe it felt a bit like home to us.

THIS PICTURE shows the Variety Playhouse (originally known as the Euclid Theatre). The history of this venue located on Euclid Avenue goes back to the 1940's. Originally it was built as a cinema. Its great art deco style still survives!
These days it is still in business and hosts a variety of music acts including rock, indie, electronic, funk, country, folk, bluegrass, jazz, blues and world music.
Guess who was playing when we visited Atlanta?

Hello Benny, a very interesting building, very distinctive Art Deco styling.
I like that you included the bright colours on the right hand side wall, and the rather unusual window on the left .
Excellent sharpness.

The architect was inspired by organ and so is the decoration suitable for the function of this building, a very nice photo

Hello Benny
A picture with beautiful old world charm! The playhouse looks so inviting that I feel like walking in immediately. The colours are excellent with sharp details. The electric poles with overhead wires are 'almost' similar to what we find in India :).
Cheers!

Hi Benny
At least they've kept the art deco style. A good photo and I do like the odd shaped building next to it.
cheers

Hello Benny
'Don't fear the Reaper' was their biggest hit. (BOC). Good sharpness and punchy light contrasts with excellent colour and saturation. Superb warm old colour contrasts. Tfs!

Hi Benny
This looks really good. This building stood out from the rest. You're not just taking the photo, you're framing them in situ! Wonderful rich colours
Best regards
