Sorry, but this doesn't do it for me. If the latern is the focal point of the picture, then it is almost lost due to the busy background. The exposure is good, but there is really no composition. The lantern is dead center in the picture and lost.

I like the composition overall. The picture, especially the center is a bit busy, but with the focal length the buildings come in at the sides, drawing your attention toward the center. I think this photo could be great, if taken later in the day, say around dusk, with the lantern on, drawing more attention to itself.

It's a bit busy, yes, but I like it too, that's a beautiful sky, and I like the slightly wonky look that the building has, as Jitterbug says, if the lantern had been lit, it might have made more of an impression, but it's a nice picture nonetheless.
