The Hand of the Maestro

The social significance of art today is wider than it used to be. With modern techniques, the possibilities for artistic expressions are much more extensive than before. As a result; The function of art is not only a representation of the world around and the illustration of stories of the period in which it is created, but also has a more "interactive" function in which the viewer is challenged and provoked and invited to respond actively.

Three examples of art that make use of contemporary media.

■ Picture 1: ◄ Invisibile ►

dimensions variable - projector and slide.
The viewer's arm is necessary for this work of art. I therefore have to request dispensation from the moderators for this photo because the arm of this artwork is from the well-known TE-member Lars.

■ Picture 2: ◄ What absence is made of ►
The photos of this presentation were taken at the “What Absence Is Made Of” exhibition at the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington. The exhibition explored "the personal and cultural anxieties surrounding advancements in computer animation, avatars, and artificial intelligence, as well as technology that makes the body obsolete".

■ Picture 3: ◄ In Safe Conduct ►
This photo is a Still of the installation "In Safe Conduct" by the British artist Ed Aktins.
A Three channel installation with 5.1 surround sound full of dystopian images projected on different screens.
“The action is set to the repetitive, maddening, slow buildup or Ravel’s Boléro, which quietly hums the peeling off and depositing his layers. A wide shot of the luggage claim calls reveals a sign that reads: ‘Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everybody else‘- ironically drawing attention to the way that technology and artificial intelligence make the human body insignificant.” (Info Hirshhorn museum)
The Bolero of Ravel continued to sing in our heads the following days.
