Moving Fast, a photo from Vermont, Northeast

Photographer's Note

Taken at the Ferrari Show 2007 in Burlington, Vermont, which is held yearly as a charity event for the Camp TaKumTa organization.

I decided to do something different and create this special effect. With some practice, you can achieve some great results. Basically, you zoom all the way out and pick a focus point, then while pressing the shutter, you zoom back in quickly.

Hi Harjit,
this is an interesting try, this way to shoot could be dangerous at terms for your lens and the AF but the result is really appealing. Indeed the speedness of those wild horses is well rendered by this "zoom back". An original way and an effective way for this shot.
I would have loved that the wheel be totally sharp ...

Harjit, ce zooming est très réussi. J'aime le dynamisme ainsi donné à la photo. Du bon travail et en plus on a l'explication technique.

An old trick, very well executed, because fits perfectly the subject. Nice to see some detail (the yellow ferrari's nose) quite sharp.

A very specially technic for to make this experimental picture.
Colour are very nice and the point view find the attention to the depth.
