Bertrand Library at Sunset, a photo from Pennsylvania, Northeast

Photographer's Note

Ellen Clarke Bertrand Library of Bucknell University houses a robust collection of over 860,000 items including books, dvds, maps, audiobooks and recreational reading collections. Faculty and librarians work together to build the collection, whose primary goal is to support the University curriculum.

The workshop ended promptly at 5:00 PM today. I immediately went to my dorm room, took my real camera and walked in downtown Lewisburg before dinner. After a quick dinner, I walked around campus. This is the clock tower of the library as seen from the quadrangle. It was past 9:00 PM when I got back to my room.

Camera set for sunset, monopod used.

Oh, now this is MUCH better, Murat!
Wonderful, golden evening light, great choice for framing in the horizontal, MAD detail (and so many to look at). I like the off centered spire and the leaves framing the right. Excellent contrast to - POW! Put it in your face. Great lines and good perspective, too. Very, very nice! Many thanks and kind regards,

the light is really captivating here and steal the show.Of course the architecture is also interesting,but in this case I´d say it fade into the background.Really the light,colors and contrast they create are amazing!

this is a fabulous picture, the golden/ caramel tones bestowed by the sunset are fantastic. The building looks even more attractive and interesting as, apart from the captivating overall impression, each detail has acquired a special significance. Hi Murat,

You're capturing well this architecture by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the libarary building with beautiful/classic design and clock tower. White and a brown outer wall are elegant and it looks cleanly. It's good for the outer wall dyed to sunset. Students seems to study under a good environment.

Use of a monopod is always recommended, your picture become always very sharp.

The sunset at the library is fantastic, in particular because of the intensive vivid colour shades produces. Naturally there is a lot of red, but it has to be this way. Excellent photo job
