Photographer's Note

In Chelsea, a neighborhood in the west twenties in Manhattan, a lot of excellent art galleries have appeared in the last few years. In a vacant lot an artist (unidentified, it seems) has hung sheets of colored plexiglass, shown here, in the open. Anyone can walk into the lot and walk among the hanging colors that make everything beautiful.

This was a particularly sunny day, so the colors were especially vivid. I'm standing in the lot looking toward the street.
