Photographer's Note

Following my other shots on the New York Subway, this is the long and lonely tunnel under 191 street in Upper Manhattan, near the Dominican colony of inmigrants. This particular tunnel is one of the most interesting of the Subway system, as it's long and wide, and not particulary beautiful in matters of maintenance. It's a pity that at the time I took the pic there was not much activity on that station and the tunnel is empty. Or maybe that's part of its enchanting atmosphere. It was raining, and it appears to have draining problems somewhere, so you can see the lights reflections on the wet floor.

I tryed to create a vanishing point making all the parallel lines to converge at some point.

ISO Speed setting at 1600, shoot at 1/30 with f5.6 and no flash.

Update: I made a mistake naming this pic as Lonely Tunnel at 181st, when the real thing is 191st. Sorry. I corrected it already.
