Photographer's Note
Went to see an interesting sketches exhibition by... Fellini! Very colorful and amusing...
Also took the opportunity to finally take some photos of this unique building.

The Guggenheim Museum has got to be a photographer's paradise. Can you imagine my stupidity the day I went there in 1998 I forgot my camera at the hotel :-(
Well this is a very effective shot to understand the special shape of this great building. It almost looks like b&w. Looking forward to seeing the other shots you took. Well done, Liora.

The sketches within this museum must have stimulated your creative imagination Liora :-)In addition to it being an architectural marvel, the angle of your shot combined with the curved lines also leaves us with the illusion of seeing a large ocean liner.Fellini would have been impressed by your vision!

did a workshop...
I love the perspective in this shot. I just found it needed a little noise filtering from NeatImage. I think it brings out the curves more clearly too. Unfortunately, it does tamper a bit with the texture around the "GUGGENHEIM" letters at the bottom.

Hi Liora, best for 2004, thought this was a ship from the thumbnail - lovely lines, composition and rendering of B&W.

I've seen many photographs of this building, but you have managed to create something original. It is a little noisy, and William's workshop is helpful here.
Good shot!

There's a famous image by Horst Hamann that is almost identical to this, although he shot with a panoramic camera turned sideways. I think this is a fine architectural abstract -- reminds me of work I have tried myself. I only wish that you had a bit more dynamic light to play with. Overall, there's a bit of a blue cast to the image, as well. With some minor tweaks (color, contrast) I think you have a real winner here. Good work.

Superb composition Liora. I like this Guggenheim word at the bootom, and very tight croping. It's a very well done shot! Best wishes!

I wish I had an eye like this. Great composition with your use of curves. I'm really glad you left the title in the shot. Thanks alot for sharing. Don

Very subtle photograph. The architecture alone would be boring but with the text at the bottom it comes to life.

Excellent composition! I prefer Peggy Guggenheim's museum in Venice, but my hat's off to you for this shot.

Great photo of one of my favorite buildings in NYC. I wasn't aware that Fellini did drawings but what do I know. I really like how you framed the name with your shot.

You've taken some pretty good architectural shots Liora, but I think this is the best, I've only just come across it for the first time. The graphism of the compo perfectly relflects the intention of the design, with the nautical theme even more apparant than in reality. The name at the bottom is a nice extra touch. A favourite, point later.
