Photographer's Note

This is a view from a few years ago, of what is sometimes referred to as the “Bloomberg Building”. It houses offices, including the headquarters of Bloomberg L.P., retail, restaurants and luxury condos. It’s a 55-story skyscraper on Lexington Avenue, between 58th and 59th streets. The complex features two towers separated by a seven-story atrium, with glass walls that curve around the courtyard, and tilt slightly inward as they rise.

Every year a beautiful Christmas tree sits in the center of the courtyard, but it remains unseen if you are just walking by.

I had hoped to take some festive photos in Manhattan before Christmas actually arrived, but I haven’t been able to. A combination of COVID, a large snowstorm, and now a death in the family, have prevented me from going into the city center. Hopefully I’ll make it before New Year’s Day…

I’d like to wish everyone who’s celebrating a very Merry Christmas! Sending everyone my wishes for health and happiness in the New Year. :-)
