Photographer's Note
Hello Everyone,
Back to New York and the beautiful Bow Bridge in Central Park.
Bow Bridge was the first cast iron bridge in Central Park and the second oldest anywhere in America.
Bow Bridge is a long, low arch, like the bow of an archer or maybe of a violinist. It was built between 1859 and 1862 and was not part of the park's original design but was added later to link Cherry Hill with the Ramble.
We were so lucky to have a beautiful day when we were there. Just by coincidence, we met another English couple in the park and a further coincidence, the guy's birthday was on July 4th, just like my husband. We were all anticipating the celebrations on the following day - birthdays and American Independence Day!
My last post from New York showed something I hadn't expected to see in New York and my Workshop will show something else unexpected!
Have a good day and keep safe, Bev :-)

Hi Bev.Memories of a beautiful sunny day between celebrations and upcoming birthdays. The bridge is gorgeous, it almost seems to be made of marble and not cast iron from this perspective. Really nice surprise in the WS, maybe that we do a spell to make Covid disappear immediately.Have a nice weekend! Luciano

Hello Bev,
This is a very elegantly designed bridge and the flower pots on the railings are good focal points in the foreground. I also like the inclusion of the persons coming this way, and of course the man who looks like he is waiting for you to finally snap that photo. ;-) The old skyscraper in the background indicates the location. The fine weather produced very nice colours. I guess the fairy in the WS was going around town dressed like that just as a natural thing, or was she perhaps to take part in a play for children?
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Bev,
The design of the ramp is impressive. The point of view is showing the details of the bridge. The light is giving good colors output. Have a nice day.

Unexpected angel around Central Park on your WS, Beverley, a fun picture added to this bridge image.
Wonderful light and shadows mingling with different green colors along the elegant stone-bridge-railings.
Good afternoon,
Ike

Hello Bev,
You create nice perspective picture with much depth with roundness of the bridge.
We get a repetitieve view on the bridge railing, very decorative, nice architectural.
Also the two big plantpots are nice detail.
Of course the people are a lovely addition.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Hi Bev,
in that case it seems you should always go for Len's birthday to US. There are many celebrations and also they have this tradition that you can occasionally get something free in a restaurant on your birthday day.
I like very much this bridge.
Great place for walk.
I regret only that the characteristic building got a bit sidelined here in the left.
Very well done,
M

Hello Beverley,
An excellent photo of this elegant bridge in Central Park, its gentle slope is seen very clearly from here. I really like the play of light and shadows also and I like seeing one high-rise building on the left hand side also.

Dear Beverley,
Excellent city-scape with beautiful lights and shadows. The composition too, is very good leading my sight towards the bg. I'm wondering what is that tall building in the bg? I like the fairy too, she was a really beautiful fairy, as it is expected from a fairy.
Best Wishes,
Gy.
PS: Thank you for the possible solution you suggested under my latest photo! :)

Hi Bev
I have a birthday coincidence too - 20 January - USA inauguration day and also Joe Biden's birthday.
A beautifully and gracefully curved bridge and yes, an unusual sighting of the fairy!
cheers

Bonjour, chère Bev,
Un bien joli pont avec une balustrade de toute beauté (harmonie, joliesse des pots, et du pavage.
Quant à l'elfe rencontré dans le parc, ce n'est vraiment pas commun !
Amitiés.

Hello Bev, Nice view of this bow bridge in Central Park but I would rather choose the view of this fairy from the Workshop. It is really surprising. Have you seen the turtles there?
Have a nice weekend, stay safe

Hello Beverley,
I think Brenda has also posted pictures of this bridge but from another point of view.
The photo is very bright and was taken on a beautiful sunny summer day. Wonderful play of light and shadows on the road surface. Beautiful light on the foliage of the trees.
You expected to see a squirrel. Well, I remember when I took a picture after sunset in the park I saw big rats running ...
Your fairy in the WS was therefore a much more pleasant surprise.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Beverley
The bridge is a wonderful structure within the green shades, great pov, light and texture. I love how the tiny figs in the far end really pops right out at you. Your shot does it full justice. Congrats

Hi Bev
A nice capture of the Bow Bridge in Central Park, NYC. I like the fg shadow play and the road adds deep linear perspective. Excellent sharpness and framing too. Tfs!
