Photographer's Note

Some of you noticed that in my previous photo, the lion on the right was wearing a blue mask. Initially both lions in front of the NY Public Library had masks on, but I don't know what happened to the one belonging to the lion on the left!

While photographing the lions, (nicknamed Patience and Fortitude), I saw a lady with a matching blue mask walking by. Both she and Fortitude were stopping the spread of corona virus. :-)

My most recent trip into Manhattan was a bit nerve-wracking for various reasons. I'm trying to strike a balance between being cautious and being overly-anxious, but for me it's hard not to be nervous. Life is not back to "normal" here, even if infection rates are currently down in NYC. As you all know, the rest of the US is not in good shape, and not everyone is following the guidelines...

Anyway, I wanted to photograph some of the masked statues that are now appearing in the city, and in the WS you can see a couple more. :-)
