Photographer's Note

I decided to head down to the Financial District one morning to take a few pictures of the New York Stock Exchange. As I made my way down Wall Street I noticed a rather large gathering of police, most of which were lined up nicely for a photo shoot of their own on the steps of Federal Hall.

I can’t say for sure, but my guess was this had to be a graduating class from the Police Academy…and just like we all did in school, posed for a group photo. In the spirit of Craig's (macjake) recent model photo, I went ahead and “stole” a few pictures of my own from this formal collection of law enforcement dedicated to protecting and serving the citizens of NYC. They obviously weren’t quite set for the professional shot, but I much prefer this candid result…I was lucky enough to catch the “storm before the calm” moment. :)

Often referred to as New York's Finest, a salute to these men and women in blue…and those doing the same around the world!

Thanks for stopping by.
