Photographer's Note

As I stood on this street corner enjoying the last bit of the setting sun as it shined through the alleys of skyscrapers, I stepped back and watched as a seemingly non-stop, fast paced parade of people passed by and thought to myself…aside from all of the iconic New York City structures and locations, THIS is the essence of Manhattan.

The smoke filled air from a street vendor, people going about their business, the many buildings and late afternoon sunlight was the embodiment of life in this energetic city. Love it or hate it, NYC is something that should be experienced.

Continued thoughts and prayers for all affected by Hurricane Sandy in this region of the United States!
