Photographer's Note

British sculptor Antony Gormley just had his first public art exhibit here in the United States. It was called "Event Horizon", and it was displayed in midtown Manhattan near Madison Square Park and the Flatiron Building. Thirty one life-size body casts of the artist, made from iron and fiberglass, were placed at street level, and also on the roofs of several buildings.

Today I roamed around, trying to find the sculptures, and I didn't come close to finding all thirty one. :-) I did find this one, with its back to the Empire State Building. Both the building and the man stood tall beneath a lovely blue sky.
