Hi Jean Bernard,

The presentation with great light catching the binoculars is impressive and a great alternative view of surely one of the most photographed buildings in the world. The composition is great and works really well for me. Only one thing I might have changed post processing; the way the background has blurred is not that pleasing to the eye (bokeh I think they call it?). You could select the background in photoshop ignoring the in-focus foreground and put a 'guassian blur' over it to smooth some of the slightly disconcerting lines and blur it some more. Only an idea :)

At first look I was a bit put off this image with the bulk of the landscape OOF. But, further study shows me you were going beyond the obvious. I kind of like it and I kind of do not. To me full DOF with everything in focus would be a better image, but that is just my perspective. It makes you think, where is JB going with this? It is just another perspective and good one to boot. It still bothers my eyes, but it is growing on me!

Sympa cette image qui met l'accent sur la longue vue tout en ne laissant aucun doute sur le lieu de la prise de vue. Cet appareil a presque un visage humain! :o)

Un cadrage très bien vu. Il me semble déjà avoir vu cette idée ailleurs dans ta galerie.
En tout cas, elle fonctionne bien, l'invitation à regarder...

Comme Brigitte, je vois une tête de robot dans la jungle des tours newyorkaises...vision futuriste? En tout cas, l'effet est garanti, surtout avec ce posttraitement dont tu as le secret.

Sympathique ce bonhomme jumelle qui a vraiment une bonne tête. L'idée de l'Empire State que l'on devine au fond est excellente.

Nostalgic scene of New York has been rendered with very attractive tones though the bokeh in the background seems having a tendency to make a little double-line blur. I like the sharp and strong rendition of the telescope connecting to the title.

Hi JB,

You posted from this location before, more or less the same image in horizontal format. I do like the dof here, but the pp work is not at his best with a big halo around the Empire State Building on the top. Please don't push the pp too far, you don't need that, your images are good enough for not over-doing things.

je me souviens de tes autres posts sur cet endroit. J'aime bien ce format vertical ici. La MAP sur cette longue vue est une bonne idée, reléguant en second plan ce qui pourrait apparaître comme le premier.

c'est un peu l'observateur observé cette histoire : cette jumelle aux beaux accents argentés nous regarde fixement alors qu'elle devrait nous servir à regarder la ville. Du coup, celle-ci s'en retrouve toute floue... enfin, c'est comme ça que je le vois.
comme d'hab, traitement des couleurs très efficace.

qu'est-ce que je peux dire de cette prise ?
J'aime ton cadrage vertical et la composition avec la longue vue qui attire notre attention, tandis qu'elle rivalise avec la beauté et la sveltesse de l'ESB dans l'arrière-plan, parfaitement estompé pour créer une grande sensation de 3D.
Fantastique NY!! et belle réalisation.

Une superbe MAP sur cette photo qui met bien en valeur ce premier plan tout en nous permettant de bien reconnaître l'ESB. J'aime bien ton cadrage. Bon coup d'oeil, bravo JB.
