Bonjour Serge,

La végétation cadre bien l'animal. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de la tortue qui observe le photographe. La lumière donne un bon contraste aux couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

The last thinkI would have expected from the concrete jungle of NYC is green grass as depicted here. Good sharpness on the tortoise with the shallow dof in the immediate fg and the bg putting emphasis on the tortoise. Tfs!

Ha! Ha! Serge, from your thumbnail, I couldn't decide what was on the screen!
Now, I see that it is a stately tortoise!
It's a very funny, obscure reference to John Lennon but he would have loved it!!
Superb, sharp exposure on the tortoise, using a shallow dof extremely well.

a lovely animal with an interesting attitude in this portrait. I like the sharpness and the textures of your picture, how the turtle is emerging from the grass and the blurred background. The natural colours and the reflection on its shell are delightful. Congratulations and thank you!

Nice view of this turtle in green grass. I remember quite many turtles in Central Park, but rather on the stones on the lake.

Hello Serge,
One of my favorite things to do during the summer is sit by the big lake in Central Park and feed the turtles. They are very friendly, and they like bread. :-) You captured this cute turtle perfectly. It's a sharp and lovely portrait. I hope to see my turtle friends again soon...
