Photographer's Note
whatever you did for one of my least brothers or sisters, you did for me
Matthew 25:40
Another night in the freezing cold
tucked into his sleeping bag blankets and cardboard box beside the statue outside the Church. Somewhere on the streets of Manhattan
This puts everything into perspective...

Hi John,a second dramatic pic taken in the cold winter of New York. Absolutely great the dark light and this very bright black and white. What i can read in the wall from the Matthew vangels contrast what i can see...i wish to tell you more but my english is very bad, just my best compliments for this magnificent shot.Have a nice weekend,Luciano

Hello John,
the choice of mono is very appropriate for this all to familiar night scene.
Fine photo journalism.
Best regards
Les.

Hello John,
A very desperate and miserable situation and existence but you have captured it very well in your gritty and truthful photojournalistic style where the low light and fine tones, contrasts and textures definitely add a tone of despair to this fine image.
And your photograph is very well composed too, the poor individual wrapped in blankets perfectly placed in the frame and nicely balanced by the defiant closed metal gates on the right. And, of course, the plaque bearing a verse from Matthew's gospel is just apt here.
Brilliant!
Kind Regards,
John.
