Photographer's Note

This picture shows a view of North Central Park from Top Of the Rock observatory in New York City. The observatory stands at the top of the Rockefeller Center (W 52nd Street/6th Avenue). It has opened in November 2005. This is situated between Empire State Building and Central Park, which allows a view on Central Park and the Empire State Building. But the view of the Chrysler Building is partly hidden.

There is no window, one can have a direct look at Manatthan's view. The picture has been taken from the 70th floor at 259 meters high.

In Sabrina Pezzoli's picture on trekearth in this same gallery, you can see the Rockefeller building: the big one hiding Central Park, and marked with letters GE at the top.

I was lucky with the beautiful sky that day !
