Photographer's Note

Taken at Bash Bish Falls, a waterfall in Massachusetts, New England. I have visited this waterfall many times; it is a very powerful waterfall at most times of the year, making a huge roar as the water cascades down. So, it seems particularly eery to be there at a time when 95% of the falls are frozen. Coming from Southern England, you dont see ice on this scale, or waterfalls on this scale for that matter. So I find it fascinating.

To get this shot I cropped in close to the base of the falls using a 100-400L, where the water was rushing behind the ice.
