Photographer's Note

This was the first official day of spring and, for once in northeast Wisconsin, the climate and the calendar beginnings of spring coincided. You'll still see the contrasts, though, if you look closely. Just beneath the flow of the falls you can detect some masses of snow and ice not yet melted. Meanwhile, above the falls, the young lady has her jean legs rolled up and is venturing barefoot into the pool.

Technically, I chose the F/22 aperture to get a lot of front-to-back sharpness of detail and tried to show as much of the settings of the falls as possible and what the scene looks like at this time of year. This is one of two waterfalls about 20 miles apart in this area of the state.
