Photographer's Note

Ypsilanti, Michigan, is a town close to Detroit and suffers the ruin of its once powerful auto industry. It was also the place where Consolidated B24 Liberator bombers were produced during WWII. Little remains today of its former industrial glory and good life shared by working class citizens. However, there still exist a few truly American establishments, and this drive-in fried chicken (and burger) joint is one of the last two still operating such businesses in the area. You can still park your car and order your food by pressing a button on the menu, and enjoy it in your car.
