Photographer's Note
My wife, my two sons, and I spent three nights in Au Train, Michigan, along with my sister and her family. Each day as we drove to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, we passed a sign for a scenic overlook on Lake Superior. Well, that's what Pictured Rocks was for, right? So we passed by it without stopping.
Finally, the last morning we were there, I decided I wanted to do a sunrise near the cabin. So I picked this spot, and wondered why I hadn't stopped here earlier. Lots of beach grass, lots of sand, and excellent views of Lake Superior. A nice place for a sunrise. Michigan's Upper Peninsula is exceptionally beautiful.
This is the first picture I've posted to TrekEarth without a border in over 8 years. I'll post a few more and see how I like it.

Hi Clark,
Nice landscape well photographed, I like in your photo the soft might and pleasant colors, well managed with also a good depth with the path on the dune.

Hello Clark ,
It looks like a seascape .
A quite simple composition , but the beautiful light is so superbly captured .

Hi Clark
This is a really beautiful composition , and the clarity and sharpness is superb, particularly in the grass. The path leads temptingly into the scene and the colors in the sky are incredible, soft and calming. Great photo.
Cheers
Noel
