Photographer's Note

Recently I have seen some beautiful photos from Shwedagon in Yangon (Rangoon), so I have looked at my archive and I have also some nice pictures. It seems that you are already bored with my northern photos, so why not to show something totally different.
Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon is one of the most amazing places I have ever been (and I have visited many ). It is strange that it is not on UNESCO Heritage list, as is also the case with Bagan or Mrauk U. Probably the political reasons because it deserves its place there.
The Shwedagon is not only the main golden stupa but also very big area with innumerable smaller stupas. The whole families are praying, picnicking or even sleeping there. The real heaven for all kinds of photography.
Visitors are required to remove their shoes upon entering the Shwedagon and negotiating the scalding floor tiles between the shaded sanctuaries is not an easy process on the hot day!

I hope that you will like this picture.
